To edit a Short Answer/Essay question select the Question Type.
This will open the Short Answer/Essay page. Select the Question or the Edit Icon 
to the right of the Question you want to edit.
This will open the Edit Question: Short Answer/Essay window. Make the needed changes and select the Save Button 
.
The Question has been edited.
